Achievements

The Fire department was awarded a Public Protection Class (PPC®) rating of ISO Class 1 by the North Carolina Department of Insurance Office of State Fire Marshal and Insurance Services Office, Inc. (ISO), effective January 1, 2026.

The department received Heavy Rescue, High Angle Rescue, and Medical Responder Certifications in 2020. The department received Confined Space Rescue Certification in 2024.

To protect these interests, the Lexington Fire Department currently deploys firefighters out of three strategically located fire stations within the city.
