‘Census Day Fridays’

Join in the ”Census Unity” fun!

Post Date:01/14/2020 5:11 PM

Many colors of #MyCityICount attire will be seen throughout Lexington on Fridays in 2020 as local businesses, employees and Team Unity members join in to educate the public on the importance of Census 2020.  On January 13, 2020, Mayor Clark and Lexington City Council officially proclaimed ‘Census Day Fridays’ in 2020.

To prepare for Census 2020, the City of Lexington branded the local Census 2020 awareness campaign #MyCityICount, and has partnered with Team Unity and the community to lead a ‘Census Day Fridays’ initiative as a fun way to raise Census 2020 awareness and build unity.

The City of Lexington workforce, the Lexington Youth Council, uptown merchants, many local businesses, partnering non-profit agencies, and a growing number of caring citizens are committed to participating in the initiative by proudly wearing shirts with the #MyCityICount logo on Census Day Fridays as a way to embrace unity and invite conversation about the importance of Census 2020.
