Hanes Construction Company was awarded the City's 2012 street resurfacing contract in the amount of $640,167.03 to pave approximately 5 miles within the city limits. The work began in July and is scheduled to be complete September 2012.  Hanes Construction has completed approximately 80% of the contract to date.

Plans are underway to resurface South State Street from West Center Street to West 4th Avenue and West 3rd Avenue from South State Street to Hargrave Street.  These streets are scheduled to be paved Friday evening, September 7th beginning at 6:00pm.
