Lexington, North Carolina – The City of Lexington has partnered with the Lexington Garden Club and the Extension Master Gardener Volunteers of Davidson County to launch a new beautification initiative to bring vibrant plant containers to the uptown area.

The Lexington Blooms program will install decorative planters throughout the uptown district, adding seasonal flowers and greenery to enhance the visual appeal of the City center and create a more welcoming environment for residents and visitors.

“This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to making Lexington’s uptown area more vibrant and blooming with joy for everyone,” said Emily Jackson, the City Clerk and Assistant to City Manager Johnnie Taylor. The Lexington Garden Club and Master Gardeners will provide horticultural expertise for the design, planting, and ongoing care of the containers. The new plant containers are expected to be installed in the coming weeks, with the first displays anticipated to brighten uptown streets by early summer.
