As Lexington grows, so is our street resurfacing budget.

The city's street resurfacing budget will grow from $1.2 million spent last fiscal year to $2.3 million this fiscal year. In years past, the $30 vehicle tax which generates about $500,000 per year was the only source of street resurfacing funding. In severe cases, that $500,000 can only cover one mile of residential road today.
