Post Date:07/23/2020
The City of Lexington is completing an Americans with Disability Act (ADA) Self-Assessment of its Buildings, Parks, Public Space, and Programs.  As part of this assessment, the City is seeking input from interested individuals, its citizens, and those who work, do business, or utilize the city services, including individuals with disabilities or organizations representing individuals with disabilities. The information gathered will assist the City staff in setting transition plan priorities and possible changes to programs and services.

To access and complete the survey, please go to  The survey will be open through August 22, 2020.

The American with Disabilities Act, which became law in 1990, is a civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities. The City is required to periodically conduct a self-assessment to identify any barriers of its buildings, parks, public spaces and programs.  Once the community has an opportunity to provide input through this survey, the City will draft a Transition Plan to address barriers to accessibility.
