City Council Adopts Resolution Requesting the Removal and/or Relocation of the Confederate Monument from the Davidson County Square in Uptown

The City of Lexington has endorsed '7 Keys to Becoming a City of Choice' and one of those keys, 'City of Unity' specifically addresses unifying the community and the commitment to promoting a safe, inclusive, welcoming, warm and inviting community.

On Monday, July 13 City Council adopted Resolution No. 01-21 which affirms the City of Lexington's unified support in requesting Davidson County remove and/or relocate the Confederate Monument from its current location on the southeast quadrant to the Davidson County square in Uptown Lexington, NC.
